Hilldrup Employees Win National Award

The Hilldrup Companies is proud to announce the national recognition of three of its move counselors.  United Van Lines, the world’s largest household goods van line, awarded Barb Schehl the Heart of Quality Award, and awarded Tina Fitton and Kelly Gilkerson honorable mention.

The award winners achieved the highest national ratings in customer service based on post move surveys that were completed during the 2009 award year.  There were more than 2,500 counselors from over 450 United agencies eligible for the award and the Hilldrup move counselors were selected as the “Best of the Best.”

“We are very proud of their accomplishments,” said Russ Watson, Vice President, Client Relations.  He added, “They have clearly gained the trust and confidence of our customers and displayed a commitment to service excellence that is unmatched in our industry.” 

All three recipients are move counselors for Hilldrup’s Corporate Headquarters in Stafford, VA.  The 2010 announcement designates Schehl and Gilkerson as first time recipients and Fitton as a three time honorable mention recipient since the inception of the award in 2005. 

The move counselor plays an integral part in the move process, serving as both an advocate and single point of contact for the customer and all service providers. The move counselor’s goal is to make certain that the relocation experience is successful from preparation through final delivery stages.
