Distributing 55,462 Cases of Girl Scout Cookies During Atlanta’s Count N Go Event
Hilldrup Atlanta’s second annual Count N Go event was a sweet success!
Moving, storage and logistics is our business, but when it comes to cookie sales, look no further than the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta (GSGATL)! There’s no busier time of year for these future entrepreneurs than Girl Scout cookie season and we were pleased to be a part of the warehousing and distribution needed for the highly sought-after inventory. Our award-winning Atlanta professionals prepared for their second year assisting with the Count N Go event, which surpassed last year’s inventory with a total of 55,462 cases of cookies distributed!
Taking place on Saturday, February 10, our teams had the manpower and assets to support two different Count N Go sites for the 2024 season. Hilldrup was at Six Flags White Water in Marietta, GA and also supported warehousing and distribution efforts on-site at our branch location in Dacula, GA.
Here’s the breakdown of who we served and how we organized everything to make this a seamless event for the Girl Scouts, their families and troop leaders:
In Marietta, GA:
- 288 Girl Scout troops represented
- 5 lines for vehicles to pick-up inventory
- 50 Hilldrup staff members
- 28,365 cases of Girl Scout cookies
- 181 pallets loaded onto 8 trailers
- 8:30AM – 5PM, hours of operation
On-site at Dacula, GA:
- 298 Girl Scout troops represented
- 4 lines for vehicles to pick-up inventory
- 50 Hilldrup staff members
- 27,097 cases of Girl Scout cookies
- 176 pallets staged in our warehouse
- 8:30AM – 5PM, hours of operation
In total, that’s 55,462 cases of Girl Scout cookies that Hilldrup handled and distributed for the 2024 season!
In addition to distributing cookies during Count N Go, Hilldrup Atlanta also became a “Cupboard” this year. This means that from 2/15 – 3/9, our team provided cookie replenishment to GSGATL troops from 8:30AM – 5PM, Monday through Saturday.
The troop volunteers would simply sign up for available time slots to come by our warehouse and pick up additional cases for their cookie sales. By being a Cupboard, it’s estimated that an additional 10,000 – 12,000 cases will have been distributed. Incredible work!
