Attending RUW’s 2023 – 2024 Workplace Campaign Celebration
After raising approximately $35,000 for Rappahannock United Way, Hilldrup employees were recognized for their generosity as part of RUW’s annual Workplace Campaign Celebration.
There’s no doubt that together, with our fellow colleagues and businesses throughout the Fredericksburg area, we cooked up some major success for Rappahannock United Way (RUW)! In the spirit of RUW’s theme of Cooking Up Community, we enjoyed supporting and celebrating the success of everyone’s 2023 – 2024 workplace campaigns as part of an annual Workplace Campaign Celebration event.
Taking place at the Fredericksburg Convention Center, Hilldrup’s Russ Watson, Executive Vice President and CAO; Linda Rivera, Vice President, Customer Experience & Process Improvement; Tamika Mitchell, Vice President, Human Resources; Shelly Snyder, Executive Assistant; Onie Girton, Senior Vice President, Sales and Client Services; Jordan McDaniel Hinkebein, Sr. Director, Internal Communications and Special Projects; Eileen Williams, Vice President, International; and Charlie McDaniel, Sr. Director, Logistics Services, represented Hilldrup during RUW’s Workplace Campaign Celebration.
As a long-time supporter of RUW, Hilldrup’s 2023 – 2024 campaign kickoff took place in early October with fundraising activities that were fun, challenging, team building and truly a recipe for success! Thanks to the generosity of our employees, Team Hilldrup raised $32,418 for RUW! This was an incredible goal to reach and we’re so grateful for Onie and Tamika for leading our efforts and activities this past year.
During the Workplace Campaign Celebration, led by Janel Donohue, President of RUW, attendees enjoyed a lunch, activities and the highly anticipated awards ceremony centered around the theme of Cooking Up Community. A read aloud of “Stone Soup” by Jon J. Muth was presented by a Fredericksburg City Schools student as well as an interactive soup activity which involved a jar of dried soup mix that attendees could take home as a favor or donate back in support of RUW’s ALICE program. We loved the creativity and fun that always surrounds RUW’s events!
Thank you to Janel and the incredible RUW team who made this event and its success possible. We always enjoy participating in efforts to support RUW and are thrilled that our collaborative efforts continue to make a difference in the communities where we work and live!
