Celebrating Hilldrup’s Annual All Sales Meeting & Award Winners
Congratulations to our 2021 All Sales Award Winners! We were excited to celebrate these professionals during our annual All Sales Meeting on April 4.
As part of our annual All Sales Meeting & Awards event, Hilldrup’s Sales professionals gathered at our Corporate Headquarters to discuss trends, participate in team-building exercises and celebrate our teams’ outstanding achievements. With last year’s in-person event postponed due to the ongoing pandemic, we were especially excited to regroup in-person together this year.
Always on the prowl to provide clients and customers with the move plan, services and solutions they’re seeking, the theme of this year’s All Sales Meeting was inspired by the qualities of a lion. Focused, driven, top-tier – these are the qualities our Sales team truly embodies each day!
The All Sales Meeting kicked off with a few group activities and discussions led by Justin Mahon, Vice President, Workplace Solutions. These breakout sessions focused on how we can better serve customers with keeping market trends in mind as well as how current events are impacting the moving, storage and logistics industry.
Next, our teams enjoyed a special presentation by guest speaker Hakeem Oluseyi, an American astrophysicist, cosmologist, author and much more. His talk, titled A Quantum Life: My Unlikely Journey from the Streets to the Stars was captivating and inspiring! We really enjoyed hearing how Hakeem’s success was built on hope, hustle and help along the way.
The following activity was inspired by the hit TV show, Shark Tank, where upcoming entrepreneurs present their business and plans to business titans in the hopes that one of the “Sharks” will invest money into their idea. We loved the idea of some friendly competition amongst one another! Our Sales professionals were divided into teams who then came up with a business idea and presented it to Hilldrup’s “Sharks.” Congratulations to our winners for their creativity and strategic – although fictional! – winning business plans!
Hilldrup President and CEO, Charles W. McDaniel, delivered a state of the union address for the company to speak about what challenges we overcame in 2021 and our goals for 2022. Finally, our team headed to historic downtown Fredericksburg venue The Silk Mill for an award presentation followed by drinks, appetizers and a networking activity.
