Delivering Joy During VARC’s 2023 Winter Wonderland Conference
Inspired by Celebrate! RVA’s mission to provide local children the experience of a magical birthday, the event was the perfect opportunity to provide a gift that truly keeps on giving!
‘Tis the season for joy and giving! In the spirit of the holidays, Hilldrup invited our friends and colleagues to help provide 100 birthday bags to underserved children in the Richmond area as part of the Virginia Area Relocation Council’s (VARC) Winter Wonderland Conference. We loved seeing to many new and familiar faces during VARC’s fun and educational event in Richmond, VA.
Taking place at the Hilton Downtown Richmond, VARC’s event was inspired by the theme of “Relo in a Winter Wonderland.” In between a fun and festive agenda, which included networking in our best winter white to sessions about industry topics such as immigration, mortgage trends and RFPs, giving back was also a major theme.
On Wednesday, November 29, Hilldrup’s Onie Girton, Senior Vice President, Sales and Client Services; Bucky Burden, Sr. Manager, Client Services; Hunter Watson, Client Services Consultant; Carrie Takamatsu, Vice President, Business Development; and Molly Vickery, Corporate & Workplace Solutions Sales Executive led our friends and colleagues in a fun activity of assembling birthday bags for underserved children in the Richmond metro area. In each bag, there were candles, balloons, party hats and noisemakers, confetti and a birthday card for the child. Inspired by Celebrate! RVA and their mission of making children’s birthdays special, this was a way to give a gift that truly keeps on giving into 2024.
With holiday inspired cocktails in hand and Christmas tunes playing, we enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit and coming together to make a difference.
We’re grateful to VARC for hosting such a thoughtful, educational and fun meeting as always and to all of our fellow members and attendees who joined us in helping deliver joy across Richmond in 2024!
Escaping the cold to enjoy some festive cocktails while catching up and giving back with our fellow VARC members was a highlight of this year’s event inspired by the theme: Relo in a Winter Wonderland!
Together we assembled 100 birthday bags with lots of party supplies, from candles and balloons to hats and a card, in support of Celebrate! RVA’s mission of making underprivileged children’s birthdays special in Richmond, VA.
