Henry “Lewis” Kubicek Wins United Van Lines’ Van Operator of the Month for March 2022
Congratulations to Stafford Van Operator, Henry “Lewis” Kubicek who was recently recognized by United Van Lines for his outstanding work!
Congratulations to Hilldrup Stafford’s Henry “Lewis” Kubicek who was honored as United Van Lines’ Van Operator of the Month for March 2022! Lewis is a Long Distance Van Operator who has been with Hilldrup for nearly four years and has worked in the industry since 1986.
“I love the everyday challenges of being an owner operator but the best part is servicing our great customers and being able to have a great impact in their lives,” explained Lewis. “Moving is stressful and I try to take that element away from each customer who I move.”
Lewis’ award-winning service is a testament to that personal commitment! Between being the physical driver of the truck, as well as the driving force behind the success of each move, there’s a lot that goes into being a great Van Operator. To be eligible for United Van Lines’ accolade, there are multiple statistical criteria that must be met by the Van Operator. These include:
- Be qualified in the UniGroup system for at least 12 months
- Successfully have driven 50,000 miles based on a 12-month period
- Earn a minimum safety performance rating of 25,000
- Hold a 100 in safety
- Rate a 1 on a scale of 1 – 5, with 1 being the best, in the areas of Claims, Compliance Safety Accountability, Customer Service, and Updating.
As far as the recognition that Lewis is receiving on the national level, he credits his success to his fellow Long-Distance Van Operators.
“Without [my Long Distance Team] I honestly would not have been able to achieve this award. They are the best team that I have ever worked with and I believe they are the best Operations team in our industry,” he shared.
And while moving all kinds of households keeps the job feeling different every day, there is one move that specifically stands out to Lewis.
“I’m an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and got the chance to move the entire team’s equipment from Dallas to Austin, TX,” shared Lewis. “I got to personally meet Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman and the entire team – it was absolutely great!”
