Kam Robinson, UVA sophomore linebacker, and Hilldrup make for a dynamic team - sharing a tenacity for being the best and giving back.

Earlier this year, Hilldrup entered into a partnership with Kam Robinson, University of Virginia (UVA) sophomore linebacker, as part of a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deal. CavFutures, the official NIL collective of University of Virginia Athletics, assisted in connecting Kam with our Hilldrup team as both are laser-focused on achieving success and being the best.

As is clearly stated, Hilldrup’s vision is to be the best moving services company, period. Kam, a four-star linebacker from Tappahannock, Virginia, had a stellar first season for UVA, resulting in his receiving several honors, including first team Freshman All-American honors from On3 and the College Football Network.

“We are excited to welcome Kam Robinson to the Hilldrup team,” said Charles W McDaniel, President and CEO, at Hilldrup. “His dedication to his sport and his community perfectly embodies the values we hold dear at Hilldrup. We look forward to working together to make a difference in Charlottesville, throughout the state of Virginia and around the world that we serve.”

As CavFutures stated, “This collaboration represents more than just a sponsorship; it’s a celebration of local Virginia pride and a commitment to making a positive impact in all the communities we serve. Through this partnership, Kam Robinson will serve as a brand ambassador for Hilldrup, promoting their services and sharing the company’s commitment to excellence and community involvement with his fellow students, fans, and followers.”

The first of such community-focused events that Kam held, in collaboration with Hilldrup, was the 1st Annual Kamren Robinson Football Camp. Held at Essex High School, where Kam played, on June 8th, Kam, as well as several of his UVA teammates, held drills and agility training for four hours for roughly 75 children, ranging in age from 7 to 17.

Hilldrup supported the camp by having a catered barbeque lunch for all campers and staff at the conclusion of the drills. We also had our UVA-branded tractor trailer at the camp for the campers to tour and take pictures in front of.

One of the parents of the campers said “My son had the best time at your camp! He said that out of all the camps he’s gone to these past two years that your camp was his favorite. He learned more blocking techniques and got the most out of your camp in learning how to become a better football player. He also said that your camp was the most fun!  We will definitely watch some UVA football games from now on to see you in action!”

Hilldrup sees great value in supporting college athletes as they develop and give back to their local community, much as we do as a company.  We were so pleased with the success of the camp and are proud to be partners with Kam.  We look forward to supporting him in the coming months and throughout the season with other community-focused initiatives!
