Hilldrup and Rocket Mortgage Support Make-A-Wish Foundation’s World Wish Day

World Wish Day, a national holiday sponsored by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, is celebrated every April 29 each year. This year marked the fourth year that Hilldrup, along with our partners at Rocket Mortgage, celebrated by joining with mobility colleagues to discuss our mobility wishes; Hilldrup and Rocket Mortgage sweetened the deal by making a combined $25 per attendee donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation as well as providing a treat to each attendee via Sugarwish, a provider of gifts that the receiver chooses.
Make-A-Wish Foundation focuses on making the wishes of terminally ill children come true, with wishes ranging from a trip to Disney World to becoming a police officer for a day and more. While we can’t grant those life changing wishes, our team likes to see how we can grant the desires of our mobility colleagues by listening to their wishes for their mobility program.
Hilldrup started this event four years ago targeting a small region of mobility colleagues, but this year we expanded to include colleagues and corporations from across the country. In total, we had two virtual sessions which was attended by 48 corporate mobility professionals, representing 40 different corporations! Each attendee shared their name, title and company along with the Sugarwish goodie they chose in advance (candy, popcorn, cocktail mixers, dips and sauces) as well as their 2024 mobility wish for their relocation program.
Wishes that were shared during the event included the following:
- To meet people in the industry.
- Improve process and enhance the employee relocation experience.
- Collaborate with talent management more closely.
- Have one perfect move from beginning to end, including visa/work permit process .
- To make quicker decisions for approvals during transferees’ mobility process.
- A centralized approach for relocation.
- New relocation policy changes that will have a big impact.
- For more automation and better reporting as well as refinement of guard rails to better the relocation program and make it more equitable.
- For interest rates to come down!
We love working with our colleagues, partners and clients to ensure world class relocations, and we look forward to delivering on these wishes in the coming months. We appreciate everyone’s participation and are glad we could donate $1200 in total to Make-A-Wish Foundation as part of our World Wish Day event!
