Hilldrup Named Move For Hunger’s 2024 Mover of the Year
A dedicated partner with Move For Hunger, we are thrilled and honored to have won this award for our efforts across our branch markets!
Hilldrup’s partnership with Move For Hunger is one that has been near and dear to us for over a decade. Across our 10 branch locations, Team Hilldrup is always ready to lend a hand – or a truck! – to mobilize the food donations that Move For Hunger helps make possible to the people and communities who are most in need. Based on that hard work and dedication, Hilldrup was honored to be named Move For Hunger’s 2024 Mover of the Year!
From school programs to church outreach, Team Hilldrup has helped provide more than 138,000 meals to food-insecure communities across our 10 years of partnership with Move For Hunger.
In 2024, Hilldrup gave back by partnering with GoGo squeeZ to provide food aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Charlotte, NC. Our team also assembled meal kits for patients and families at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU in Richmond, VA. Last year alone, Team Hilldrup transported 41,973 pounds of food, enough to provide 34,978 meals!
Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move for Hunger, visited our Stafford Corporate Headquarters to prepare the big announcement and get a behind-the-scenes look at our operations. Interviewing members of our Senior Management Team on what this award means to us was an incredible opportunity to share more about our work with Move For Hunger to its network of hundreds of moving companies across the U.S. Move for Hunger posted the exciting video announcement, which can be viewed here, to share that Hilldrup is its 2024 Mover of the Year!
In addition, Jordan McDaniel Hinkebein, Sr. Director, Internal Communications and Special Projects, accepted the award from Move For Hunger during the ATA Moving & Storage’s Annual Meeting and Conference in Nashville, TN.
Thank you to Move For Hunger, Adam Lowy, our incredible team and customers as well as the organizations – including GoGo squeeZ, the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank, and many others – for all they do to support the food-insecure in the communities we serve. This accolade is truly an honor and a testament to the dedication of so many in our organization – congratulations, team!
